The Official Richie Tankersley Cusick Discussion Forum

A place to discuss Richie Tankersley Cusick's novels

im digging out all my point horrors its been years! starting with richie tankersley cusicks. after all these years i have never found any books as good as the point horrors, and feel a bit silly getting them out again at 27 years old! ...but strangely i find them even better than the first time reading them when i was a teen!  after searching ebay i discovered a few i havnt read and cant believe i never read the unseen series sooner. richie tankersley cusick is by far my favourite im re-reading the mall at the moment but looked up on the net and found a few i have never read.  i just feel a little silly buying books that are more for teens.  my sister said i should read dean koontz and stephen king, i tried but i cant get into kings and i did actually finish a koontz book- odd thomas but it was a bit blah.  ive read that there are a couple of adult books richie tankersley has  out. anyone tell me what these are? are they new out? and is she still writing?  :)

Hey Sarah! Thanks for posting. Yes, Richie is still writing. I actually have the unique privilege of corresponding with her, so I can definitely say she's still writing and can't wait to get more books out to us! (As we all can't wait to read them!)

Her two adult novels that she has put out are Scarecrow and Blood Roots. They are a bit larger than her young adult books, but just as amazing. They're two of my favorites, actually, so I definitely recommend picking them up. I find Amazon.com, ebay.com, and bn.com are all great places to buy her out-of-print novels.

And I am 25 years old, so I can definitely relate to how you feel. She's been my favorite since I was 11. And I have yet to read anyone else that I've enjoyed as much :)

I do have multiples of quite a few of her books, so if you want I could put them up on ebay for you? Let me know what ones you need. Here's a list of all her novels to date:

Evil on the Bayou August (1984)
The Lifeguard (1988)
Trick or Treat October (1989)
April Fools (April 1990)
Scarecrow (June 1990)
